Brief

Research a topic and design a field guide of your choice. Your color palette and typography choices must be clear and easy to understand. You must select at least one topic to cover, along with ten or more subjects within that topic.

My Process

This booklet was created with the intent to inform viewers about several endangered animal species in Australia and to expand their knowledge of wildlife conservation. With that in mind, I wanted to use an earthy color palette that included brown, orange, and green. From there, I developed a creative brief and sourced imagery, stock assets, and a typeface that felt confident and modern, while pairing it with a thin, legible font that remained readable at smaller sizes. The next step was to create a consistent layout system for each page that felt clear, structured, and appropriate for presenting information. All of these steps came together in the final product, which was designed in InDesign and physically printed and bound.
