Brief

Research a topic of your choice and design an infographic that presents complex information in a clear, visual, and engaging way. Keep importance on hierarchy to guide the viewer through the information quickly and effectively. The final design should be well organized, easy to understand, and appropriate for the intended audience.

My Process

This process began with an in-depth look into professional Counter-Strike 2 data provided by HLTV.org. After selecting the highest-rated players commonly discussed in “GOAT” conversations, I compiled a full data sheet covering a two to three year period. This included relevant statistics that could be compared fairly while still providing enough context for the viewer.

From there, I gathered the necessary assets, chose a modern and legible typeface, and developed a consistent color palette that helps guide the viewer through a color-coded system. I then created the main infographic, highlighting the most important data for each player in a clear and digestible way. Lastly, I designed three additional graphics that provide a general data overview for each player across the course of the game’s release in professional play. This system could work as a template for streaming production, social media, or any platform where player performance and data need to be presented clearly within a specific game or timeframe.
